  1. The consistency from your channel is under rated .. BIG props too you guys staying busy and keeping us in the loop with everything gaming !

  2. Gameranx is really my favorite YouTube gaming channel.
Others have had ups and downs for me, but this team has just been so damn consistent. These gents will always have a special place in my heart.

    1. True that. I actually just started watching their vids again in the past week. They’re concise and insightful. No pandery BS. You’re right… think I have a new primary source lol.

    2. I thought they are standard clickbaity stuff, glad i was wrong and keep doing greatjob gameranx 😀

  3. I’m super interested in Forspoken. I know it seems like a flop at this point, but I’m hoping for success. It sounds so cool to me.

    1. i think this is one of the games that would have success if it was released at first given release date, but the pushing of release date tells me it’s gonna be kinda like dying light 2, a game that is awesome in it self, but due to long drag outs and wait time from the announcement of the developing of it, gameplay videos and to the actual release date it flopped a little bit.

but i’m with you, hoping it’s not a flop and of course that it’s not gonna sell at a 70$ to 80$ price tag, cause that would be a big deal breaker for many as is that price tag in general.

    2. Wait why does it seem like a flop? I’ve seen some gameplay and it looks so cool but I haven’t really followed it

    3. @Alonzo_____ for me it’s the pattern that is obvious, a new form of business model for games that have very little to offer in game play, they look good, so they release gameplay videos, cinematic trailers for over a long period of time, then push the release to a later date and giving them self more time to get discovered by people and giving them self more time to be hyped by people.

some examples would be cyper punk 2077 and dying light 2, i mean, both are actually pretty good games, but they just aren’t worth their stock price and yet they sold so many copies due to the delay of release and the many trailers and gameplay videos they release while under production.

both were also release with many bugs and a very old gameplay style that was not clear in the trailers for them leading up to the actual release.

this is a business plan and i think another example we will see of this kind of release is ARK 2.

i’m hoping that Forspoken isnt doing this, but since we already know of this kind of business plan we should all stop over hyping games and just ressearch the games after they actually release and be skeptical when doing so.

after all, it’s the hype customers that makes this kind of business model work for the publishers.

  4. Great list as always you guys put so much love into what you put out kinda sad Nightingale didn’t make the list though lol

  5. I really hope Ubisoft brings back the ‘liquid’ ship movement from Black Flag and Rogue. The stiff movement they’ve been using for ships in recent games has been my main gripe with them.

  6. This is crazy Jake you all have made this channel more popular than IGN its self. Thank you everyone at gameranx for their unbiased opinions on all games coming out, and always keeping this channel about games and never politics or anything that might divide us. Keep being amazing and never change for anything

  7. High on life looks so promising and I really want it to be as good as the promo shows. But if I had to bet, I’d say it’s either gonna be a disappointment (with the actual game being way more simplistic, but less interactive than shown in the previews) or something simliar to We Happy Few, that didn’t really seem to turn out to be what people expected from it and kinda became a niche product.
To be honest, I fear the same for Scorn and Atomic Heart.
Fingers crossed this comment of mine won’t age well at all, though.

  8. The games I’m most excited for are Plague Tale, God of War, Harry Potter & Crisis Core. The Atomic Heart you guys showed looks very interesting also. A very nice end to this year

    1. seems like we have similar taste, but i am personally only interested in games releasing for PC, and am definitely not a fan of remakes or remasters, so that leaves Harry Potter, right ? and i just watched first half and was not impressed either, i remember being kinda excited for some of the games, but must admit my expectations might have been a little too high, so not bad games, just i need to lower my expectations.

but given that, it’s 1 game out of 30 in total with both videos (first half [top 10] and second half [top 20]) and all though i’m excited for the hogwarts online game, i kinda already see myself finding someone else who plays it (streaming or uploading videos) instead of being interested enough to actually play it.

i feel like games are getting less and less interesting and being 30+ it might be my age, you know, game dev studios aiming at a younger audience/customer, but i think it’s also that none of these games are relying on new and innovative game designs, but more relying on the brand/franchise and/or graphics.

guess it yet another year comes down to the “which is most important, gameplay, graphics” etc.
i hope companies will actually start building on their own ideas of video games instead of close to all of them just relying on this video game formula that has been in use since late 90’s early 2000’s

  9. Definitely looking forward to Hogwarts Legacy, love Harry Potter and can’t wait to see what an HP related game looks like on next gen systems.

    1. Plastic 2018 fortnite graphics + no quidditch + no online = massive flop.

The game will be a flop in the first few months of release, then prolly the devs will add multiplayer and quidditch to revive their fallen game

    2. @ß^2Ç U lost me at Fortnight graphics. Not everyone played Quidditch, and no online doesn’t make the game bad. Doesn’t need everything in the first game, sure has a lot for the first real HP game to release in over a decade. It’s a good start at least, chill out.

    3. @Smoky_Quar7s i might have exaggerated on the bad graphics, but doesn’t change the fact that the combat is stale and boring.
And yes no online holds back the game’s true potential.
Think of online Quidditch world cups, Triwazard tournaments against other players, Wizarding World Battle Royale.
There’s so much that the devs missed out

    4. @ß^2Ç That is ALOT. This is a 1.0 AAA game of a fairly new aspect, you’re basically asking for Hogwarts Legacy 2077. Because they’ve went with a highly detailed route meaning a highly detailed standard to uphold with every piece of content. I think it’s good they give us what they have done so far, so they can have feedback before they produce more content like your saying. HP fans are very loyal and games are the high demand. It realistically is a pretty damn good start and they’ve shown willingness to listen. The combat is what I feel it needs to be for now, again this is just the base. The combat was actually better than expected because again it’s a new aspect of a complex combat aspect which I think is why they decided to go with a fairly flashy but basic combat system they can build on.

  10. Unrelated: Jake, you are my favorite part of FPS but you’re positive high drive hopefulness when it comes to this gaming landscape is what keeps me here for years, sorta like tears for fears. I look forward to your videos, never stop! shout out to the team too!

  11. The second half is definitely looking good.
Not expecting too much as usual but there should be some good games coming!

  12. SOOOOOOO many good games that are supposed to come out this year! Hopefully they do all come out this year!

  13. Don’t always got the time to keep tabs on some of these games. Especially when they’re so many release date changes these days. Appreciate you dudes doing what you do best!! Keep it up!

  14. Definitely looking forward to Hogwarts Legacy, love Harry Potter and can’t wait to see what an HP related game looks like on next gen systems.

  15. The consistency from your channel is under rated .. BIG props too you guys staying busy and keeping us in the loop with everything gaming !

  17. Im really looking forward for Overwatch 2. I loved playing the betas and knowing will get real content with frequency is so good
