    1. Who made this sorry list? The fact that there are like 4 non fighting games in this list is a problem. Not only that but #1 is a non traditional fighting game (better yet a drinking game platformer) so that the creator of smash tells people if you want to play a good fighting game DON’T PLAY THIS PLAY VIRTUAL FIGHTER. WHICH WASN’T EVEN ON THIS LIST ALONG WITH GUILTY GEAR is an issue. I’m shocked and appalled.

    2. I thought Pokken Tournament DX might have at least got honorable mention if not made it around the 20-15 placing. I agree with the #1 SSBU is amazing!

    1. @HILLYSTORM180 vs SNK2 was good but still not better than Marvel vs Capcom 2.

The list of players and variety was just more and there is a reason why this game was often a Tournament Game!

  1. I can’t believe that they literally skipped over Capcom vs SNK 2. Possibly the greatest tag fighter ever. Never realized how underrated this game really is smh

    1. @Frank Mendieta yeah I wasn’t necessarily saying they are right or wrong for their decision. I was just more stating the rules of WatchMojo and why they both couldn’t be in the list.

    2. @No Name and you’re absolutely right about that. But I’m still team CVS2 over MVC2 all day. To be quite honest with you I prefer UMVC3 over MVC2 all day ever day. Thanks to Deadpool lmao
Yes!!! I said it, MVC2 is #3 in my book when it comes to the Capcom fighter series. But that’s just my opinion

    3. @JedRock I think if you look at the art styles for both KOF15 and SF5, to me they look to be so similar that they’re almost different from one another at the same time. You can see their different art styles mesh together so well if they ever did a new CVS3. Honestly, I think it’s time for a third one to come out and add all these new characters that have been added over the years with these two awesome fighters. Just give me my team of Iori, Terry and Ryu and I’m GOOOOOD lol

    1. I agree. It’s good frantic 4 player fun. Much better than Super Smash Bros. IMO. Wish they’d bring it back with all these systems supporting 4 players now.

  2. I wish they would make a worthy remake of fight for NY, such good times with friends and awesome single player storyline

    1. Sadly they can’t do it because licensing nightmares :/. They would have to remove so many songs and rappers from the game because they are not anymore under the Def Jam brand

  3. ‘Marvel vs. Capcom 2: New Age of Heroes’, one of my most favorite fighting/superhero video games of all time!
    😁

  4. Great to see some SNK games gets some recognition. King of Fighters and Samurai Shodown series has a great level of style and a unique lore. 🙂

    1. @Jesse Windham BB isn’t a mainstream game but it’s one of the deepest and more complex fighting games of the last decade, tied with just Xrd and UNI. It’s an amazing game.

    2. @Viva Cuba! its not, and idk how they’re gonna put something like blazblue or DOA over guilty gear. To each their own but man, I’m a casual and even I know guilty gear better than either of the other two I mentioned. Tekken 3 should’ve been top 5 imo

  5. I’ve never been a huge fan of 1V1 fighting games, but MVC2 has always been a game I love playing. I want to see a get a modern rerelease for modern consoles. I’d buy it in a heartbeat if it came to switch or PS4

  6. 0:34 War Of The Monsters
1:38 Def Jam: Fight For NY
    2:41 Power Stone
    3:39 Persona 4 Arena Ultimax
    4:45 Darkstalkers: The Night Warriors
5:45 The King Of Fighter XIII
    6:52 Injustice 2
    7:59 Project Justice
    9:03 Samurai Shodown
    10:11 Tekken 3
    11:06 Blazblue. Central Fiction
12:19 Dead Or Alive 5 Last Round
    13:26 Mortal Kombat
    14:27 Soul Calibur VI
    15:44 Killer Instinct
    16:56 Skullgirls
    17:56 Dragon Ball FighterZ
19:00 Street Fighter II: The World Warrior
20:07 Marvel vs Capcom 2: New Age Of Heroes
    21:23 Super Smash Bros. Ultimate

    1. @James Yu Also they added Skullgirls. I highly doubt casual players even know about that game. It sold modestly and has a small but dedicated following at best.

    2. @OG FacelessKing then pray tell what is your justification of war of the monsters, def jam , power stone, persona, even dark stalkers being on the list over Virtua fighter or guilty gear? Both games have sold more, have been in magazine covers, is known more by a casual audience and have more dedicated fan bases?

Face it you are grasping at straws. This is purely an opinion piece of a single fanboy who made the video that pretends to be a consensus.

Project justice being on that list despite a critical score of less than 80% by the community and less than 1 million in sales means it’s not super well liked by both the dedicated and casual game audience. The only reason it’s pricey on eBay is that it’s one of the smallest print run for a US dreamcast game.

    3. @James Yu incorrect. a game being played and having a dedicated fanbase does not make it one of the best fighting games of all time. As a casual list, this actually makes a lot of sense. KoF over Fatal Fury, IMO, which is why KOF XIII is here

    1. The list is a joke. Darkstalker, Tekken 3, Ultimate Smash Bros, Street Fighter 2 World Warrior, War of the Monster, and Persona shouldn’t be on the top 20.

  7. Soul Caliber on Dreamcast is one of my fav fighters of all time, so many moves and the graphics were way ahead of their time!

    1. If it weren’t for recency bias from casual zoomers. The first or second game would’ve totally made the list instead.

  8. Love how they talked about Soul cal 6 but kept calling it sc4 for a bit. But hey ive done that too while going over a script also

    1. This is the comment I was looking for. Like you telling me they had this man talking about Soul Caliber 4 knowing damn well the people he mentioned were NOT in the game 😂😂😂😂.
