    • Same here
I’ve found myself gravitating to more adventure/walking sim/platformer type games are perfect for Deck play

    • I don’t get it steam deck basically has Xbox sticks there great shooters feel great you might just need to practice more

    • @@aaronvasseur6559 well the thing i ude steam deck because i have a lot of steam games. Which is on pc. And what do most pc people play games with? Keyboard and mouse.

I haven’t owned an xbox since the 360 or a playstation since the ps2 so my controller skills have atrophied like a persons legs after not leaving a bed for 8 years

  1. Some discussion about the performance of the game on the deck, their frame-rate, and gameplay from deck would have been more informative than simple introduction to each game.
Could have been a good list if you would have focused on a list of games that run and feels great on the go.

    • There are plenty of games verified that dont run well or have aspects that are not playable. Re4 remake – unless been fixed – doesnt run well if you use any scoped weapons. Framerate tanks.@niklausorosco5563

    • CDPR optimized Cyberpunk 2077 specifically for the steam deck. It has its own settings so you can play it straight up. It’s a locked 30 FPS, but I as someone that plays that game on a PC with a 4080, I can tell you I was amazed with it on Steam Deck. It looks good, but most importantly, it plays great. I don’t know about the other games they referenced so I agree, they could’ve discussed performance.

  2. I honestly love playing rhythm games on mine (DJMax Respect doesn’t have A Switch port yet, what the heck NEOWIZ?!) so i just play it on Steam Deck and i LOVE it

  3. I enjoyed playing Tales of Arise on mine 😊. Tales of Zestiria requires a different remote setup from the community but it is playable and what i currently play when i decide to use mine.

  4. On the Steam Deck OLED, these games perform incredibly well and are verified:
Warframe, Alien: Isolation, Doom: Eternal, and Dying Light. Older titles, sure, but still visually awesome games with great gameplay and/or stories.

  5. Resident Evil 4 Remake on the Steam Deck isn’t the best way to play the game if you have other options. You can definitely play the game and manage a somewhat consistent 45 FPS (having it locked at that frame rate) on medium to mostly low settings but the one thing I had and still have the hardest time getting around is the extreme frame drops while using the scope on the Sniper Rifle.

I personally think HI-Fi Rush should have been on the list considering it’s a fun experience (takes me back to the early 2000’s era of gaming) and it runs pretty well on the system. 60 FPS for 98% of the time on medium to high settings.

  6. I just got one this month. I only have 4 games (Mirror’s Edge (one of my favorite games of all times and literally like the only modern system it’s on, though you need to turn off PhysX in the options menu or it’s really choppy and almost unplayable), Portal 2 (which is the best game to play out of all the ones I have for the system, because it’s a Valve game), Alice: Madness Returns (I’ve played it the least, but it relatively pretty good on the system), and Misao (out of all of them, it’s unsupported fully on the SD, but it works ok, you just have to mess around with the controls to get them right, but for a more indie title that PC only, I’m so happy it works). I’m planning to get House Party (and a adult game, because I really want a unique experience) and maybe Resident Evil 2 Remake (I played it a 1000 times, but I like having comfort games). So I recommend all the games I have, since I played them.

    • @@Hijynx87 exactly doesn’t seem like a plus point for the steam deck tho… I’d expect the steam deck to be able to run EVERYTHING

    • @@tomagar3581u must be a kid to think that way. The steam deck won’t run everything, but it’s amazing that it can run games like resident evil 4 at medium settings at 40 fps

  7. Wild concept, show video of the games being played ON the deck when you make a list of the best games to play on the deck…

  8. I would submit one more game and it is deck certified. Kingdom Of Amalur Re-Reckoning. The game goes on sale quite a bit and is not as complicated as baulder’s gate 3. The game never get’s enough credit and has plenty of content to keep you busy for a long while. Lastly you can save pretty much anywhere so if your battery is low you can save quickly,

  9. I already have a deck, but I just ordered an oled model yesterday! The screen on the lcd bothered me with the backlight bleed, so im pretty pumped for the oled and extra battery life! also quiet fan lol.

  10. Cyberpunk is now. Here is also final fantasy that use the touch control layout and I was surprised by how mobile software could be applied in the future. Great list.
