I’m looking forward to STALKER 2. Really enjoyed the first one and community mods/ stand- alone mods.
I’d wait few weeks after release for starfield. Bethesda ran all their good faith credits after FO47 release and corporate shenanigans that comes after that
I know most other people absolutely hate and or are sick of open world, but it will always be my favorite sub-genre.
Open world will never die
The market is oversaturated with open world games. Many of them have empty servers within a year.
Mine too
they’re getting too bloated
I think 2022 is one of the first years where we’re really gonna see some next gen graphics and I’m hooked for it, especially if used in a medieval fantasy style setting
Incredible stuff being developed. Look forward to more of these being released
This guy is so down to Earth… Not overhyping anything, but being cautious about them, pointint out the potential, but not hyping it as if its guaranteed.
For the people who don’t know, long ago before State of Decay was released, Undead Labs goal was to have SoD single player, SoD2 co-op and SoD3 online multiplayer. So far they on track so we may see an online survival game from them this time around 😲
These games look so good but I am worried that over half of these will be delayed into not releasing until 2023 or even 2024. It seems that is the formula with most ambitious games nowadays
true
@King Uub if you have top pc computer its playable, but if you dont.. stay away from this game for now.. thex need to fix it first.
@Jure Jereb oh i def do my graphics card alone cost more than the average gaming pc and no im not selling it hahahaa(lil inside joke for those who know)
@King Uub then buy it and have funn :)) ur gonna have huge advantage with fps over others. Hehe
@Jure Jereb that game awful on my ps4 ima try it on my pc😭
40 years of seeing games evolve I have to say ‘Horizon Zero Dawn’ totally blew me away! AC Valhalla was vast but nothing has come close to HZD! I’m a 60 year old female game fanatic who’s never lost the love for gaming!
@Synopsis add ‘in my opinion’. If it’s a horrible game, people wouldn’t buy it or make a sequel to it. Making a bold statement ie on a subjective topic is cringy.
Horizon zero bore does have good graphics but it’s overall a horrible boring game
52 and still gaming everyday, first pc was a zx spectrum
I’m a gamer for ever
I feel like this is just a me thing but I love open world rpgs. I think their amazing with their creativity, imagery, and adventure. The only thing I personally dislike and find it hard to game is First person vs Third person view. Idk what it is but I feel like some games in the open world RPG realm deserve a Third person option with POV scroller. Idk maybe it’s just me but me personally I’d be a more variety gamer if this small thing was added to most/all open world games.

Nahh 2023
i doubt it, most companies arent doing it cause the GPU shortage… why make a game no one can play
@SteadyWolf2000 returnal, ghost of tsushima? GoT probably even better graphics than demons souls imo
@Yeah Right lol and somehow the games look like they were made in the 90s
Every year is a next gen graphics.
I’m most hyped for Starfield, Elden Ring and Sonic. With Starfield I really really hope we can fly our ships manually.
Horizon too good
Elden ring has been as advertised in my opinion. Perhaps I’m biased thought given that I was a huge fan of bloodborne and the dark souls series, both of which are similar game plays.
Always thought the Spyro series could’ve benefited from a vast and varied open-world game.
No. The whole appeal is how drastically distinct the levels are. Imagine if they took every level in Spyro 3 and mashed it together in one game. It would be a huge incoherent looking mess of different things stitched together
I agree but some games don’t transition well. Spyro is great because each level is super unique from the rest. Open world won’t be able to get that level of uniqueness. Look at Halo Infinite. I said form the start the campaign won’t have the big scale battles, mission variety, world vareity etc as the last games. I got hated on Reddit. I was right.
@Jeff Boldgloom Yeah, valid point!
I like zombie games! Dying light 2 is brilliant, only thing that could make it better is if the choices made more of a difference and there were more endings 🤔 I’m sure there are other things but that is my main issue with it now 🥰
Dokev looks most interesting, love the art style and general look of the place. Really unique.
Ironically I’m interested in Avatar because its a game that may actually benefit from Ubisofts open world methodology. In their other games it’s problematic because its usually so slow to get from point to point, but unless they scale the world in Avatar to be ridiculously big, being able to fly around it would support the size of the world. Sure, itll probably still have the issue of having repetitive locations and so on, but I can deal with that.
I dont support Ubisoft or EA games anymore. It’s a shame because they keep buying off video game trademarks.
@Oliver Stuart ayo Mount and Blade the OG game! I remember playing Warband back in 2013.
@ImmortalEmperor try shadow of war if that’s what you want, but I’m not sure what them being blue aliens really adds to any of those concepts
@Cactus Malone High acrobatic aliens with flying animals and big rideable tank animals.
@Murchad99 honestly the Avatar theme might even just make it MORE boring, what exactly is interesting about the Avatar world at all? Hair sex? Blue people? At least with Star Wars they’ve got some incredible source material to work with
Finally we’ve entered the gaming era of every game having amazing graphics 🤩 I’m excited for avatar. The first avatar game they made a long time ago looked decent, but the gameplay absolutely sucked :/ Hopefully this one is as good as it looks! I have faith that it is.

Same here, I’m now watching anything I can regarding the release date
Was thinking the same thing! Looks awesome
Important to remember that The Legend of Zelda has always been open world. Breath Of The Wild was just the first seamless world for the series.
interesting ideas, and good gamer perspective
